The Crypsis Group Internship Program

Company Background:

With a highly-successful track record of delivering mission critical cybersecurity solutions, we are experienced in working quickly to provide effective incident response, attack-readiness and remediation plans with a focus on providing long term support to improve our clients’ security posture.

The Crypsis Group is offering paid internships at our headquarters in McLean, VA as well as at our New York NY, Austin TX, Chicago IL, and Los Angeles, CA offices for motivated college students that are passionate about security, interested in hands-on practical experience, and the opportunity to learn from some of the industry’s leading experts. The internship is a 10-week program beginning June 1, 2020 and ending August 7, 2020. 

Begin your cyber career at Crypsis:

  • Gain the knowledge and experience to start a career in Cybersecurity. Each intern will be assigned a mentor as well as a manager to support your professional development within the field.
  • Support live client engagements by conducting host-based forensics, data log analysis, security assessments, malware triage, and other duties.
  • Work with members of the Professional Services team to learn and further develop your technical and investigative skills.
  • Complete a research project and present your results to the firm at the conclusion of the program
  • Learn how to use cutting edge technology and tools to assist with client engagements.

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Digital Forensics or a related field
  • A passion for Cybersecurity
  • Working knowledge and familiarity with Windows, Macintosh, and Linux systems
  • Knowledge of Incident Response, Digital Forensics, and/or Risk Management concepts and methodologies
  • Experience programming and/or scripting a plus
